Restoration and new addition.
This two bedroom Edwardian home was too small for this family of four. Despite the heritage listing and a very small block, we have added an entire new living area, and two new bedrooms with a shared bathroom above.
In keeping with the requirements of the heritage controls, none of this new addition is visible to the street.
The design takes full benefit of the north light available to the rear, and is designed to ventilate naturally in summer and stores all the rain water collected on the roof for use in the garden and to flush the toilets. With nearly the entire roof covered in solar panels, for most the year the house can be powered off the grid.
